Looking for some recommendations. What’s the best microscope for a very enthusiastic kid? My nine-year-old daughter has been begging us for one.

Hi Julie, it's so great to hear you have a young scientist on your hands!
Our top recommendation for a child her age would be Omano's JuniorScope, the Ultimate Kids Microscope: https://www.microscope.com/juniorscope-the-ultimate-kids-microscope-1.html
The JuniorScope is a real compound microscope, designed for kids 8+, but kids as young as 4 can get a kick out of it. It’s high quality, easy to use, and built with kids in mind, so that they can look at everything from plant cells to water bears. At lower magnifications, younger kids can make the connection between what they see with their eyes and what they see through the lens. And older kids are more equipped to understand what they see through the lens at higher magnification.
It comes with the “Amazing Microscope Adventures” experiment cards included, so your daughter can start using it right out of the box.
I also encourage you to have a look at some prepared slides, including the Microbiology Kit with Starter Slide Kit & Book (https://www.microscope.com/microscope-slides/omano-microbiology-kit-with-book.html) or Rock Specimen Education Kit (https://www.microscope.com/omano-rock-specimen-education-kit-set-of-15.html) to get your daughter started!
We hope she loves it!
