You won't find this mix of value and quality anywhere. Get your measuring microscopes from the only people who spend more time thinking about them than you. Read our blog post for information about Choosing Your Next Compound Microscope.
Your business' reputation is on the line every time a quality control measurement is made, whether you're an aerospace parts manufacturer or a circuit board inspector. Mitutoyo measuring microscopes are the best tools for your job because:
They're accurate
Mitutoyo measuring microscopes have best-in-class accuracy and surpasses JIS B 7153.
The price is right
Other manufacturers produce instruments with similar accuracy and features, for 20% more $.
They reduce errors
Mitutoyo has adopted the telecentric optical system that reduces the magnification error due to slight variation in working distance.

A measuring microscope is an optical microscope or digital microscope with excellent illumination and precise controls that allow micrometer-scale adjustments for accurate measurement and observation of a specimen.
Measuring microscopes are really cool. You can measure impossibly intricate details of your specimen with complete control.
You've heard it called a toolmaker's microscope. Maybe you call it that yourself. But it's useful for all kinds of applications where precise measurement during magnification is valuable, like:
Jewelry making, for high accuracy measurement of angles, shapes, and dimensions.
Factory-use, where a digital microscope helps evaluate semiconductors, electronic components, precision components, resin moldings, medical products, and more.
Quality control, where high magnification allows observation of up to 0.5-micrometer indents from hardness tests, or detection and categorization of surface defects.
Helpful tools to make your measuring microscope more friendly
Features that make your microscope easier and more comfortable to use can have a huge impact on your day-to-day life in the lab.
Bright halogen or LED illumination
A comfortable eyepiece with a built-in eyepiece scale
Digital camera attachments to avoid eye strain
Available 20x, 15x, and 10x eyepiece for a wider field of view
Magnification up to 2000x for an extreme closeup of your specimen
Optional reticle for easier measurements (and further reduced eye strain)
Measuring microscopes are expensive, precision tools that will probably spend more years at your workplace than you. We never advocate for you to spend more than you need to. With the amount of time you'll spend looking through the lens, including features that reduce eye strain and improve comfort is money well spent.
Easy calibration for your measuring microscope
We exclusively carry measuring microscopes from Mitutoyo Corporation because we believe no brand makes maximum measuring accuracy easier.
Calibrating your instrument is simple, and you only have to do it once a year. For the most accurate measurement results, calibrate each lens individually, starting with the lowest power objective.
Align the stage micrometer with the eyepiece graticule scale, then begin your calibration readings. Use those readings to calculate the calibration factor.
If you didn't understand any of that, don't worry. You probably aren't responsible for calibrating a measuring microscope.
