Summary

The Meiji EMZ5-V15 is a combination of Meiji's best-selling EMZ-5 zoom stereo microscope body and the premium Omano V15 boom stand. It is the most popular Meiji industrial inspection microscope system. Available in binocular or trinocular with choice of eyepieces. Limited Lifetime Warranty.

Microscope Head

The EMZ-5 stereo head is by far the most popular Meiji stereo microscope head. It is their workhorse industrial and educational head offering good quality, an affordable price and zero defects. The parfocal zoom range is 7x-45x with dual-sided zoom controls and provides a field of view of 32mm-5.1mm. The working distance is 93mm. The head is inclined 45° and includes interpupillary adjustment of 54mm-75mm. There are dual +/-5 diopters for convenient individual eye focusing. The head rotates through 360° for flexible viewing positions.

Available in binocular or trinocular format and also with click-stop detents for precise levels of magnification. The trinocular port directs light to the right eyetube and the trinocular tube simultaneously. Please note that a trinocular adapter is required to fit your camera.

Stand

Solid steel, 21.5" tall, a horizontal span of 28" and 48 lbs - yet surprisingly graceful in its movements, the V15 is our premium Omano dual-arm boom stand. Customers love it! A ball-bearing slide enables fingertip positioning control while a raft of thoughtful features help earn its well-deserved reputation. A hanging bar offers versatile viewing positions, a safety collar locks the boom in place on the pole, and a rubber backstop protects the cross bar.

In addition, a neat spring-loaded hanging bar bracket lever can be re-positioned without losing tension on the microscope head. They all add up to a product that feels right and works very well.

Also available with a U-clamp for attachment to a bench top. The clamp fits benches up to 2.5" thick.

No fuss, just focus. Many competitively priced digital microscope cameras magnify the image through the eyepiece, so the image you see on your monitor doesn’t accurately represent what you see looking down the scope with your own eyes. That’s not good enough for you. We counter that by including a 0.5x reducing lens. This prevents over-magnification and produces real images that don't suffer from the same zoom distortion.
