Summary

This year, treat the young scientist in your family to the Omano OM118-B4SL LED microscope with a choice of 4 useful Accessory gift packs. Part of the affordable OM118 series, the OM118-B4S is a binocular compound microscope that includes four objective lenses and a full floating stage for convenient slide handling on the microscope stage. Four levels of magnification, 40x, 100x, 400x and 1,000x are derived from two WF10x eyepieces and 4x, 10x, 40xS and 100xS oil immersion, objectives.

Like the monocular sister microscopes (OM118-M3 and M4), this binocular version was introduced in 2010 as a more affordable alternative to our ever popular Omano OM36 series. It has similar optics to the OM36C, and features a rugged, all-metal design and construction.T he microscope includes a 5-year Omano limited warranty.

We built the OM118-B4SL microscope with students in mind. So, we packed it with features like coaxial controls that enable students to move the slide without looking up from the eyepiece. We fit this microscope with the same optics that professional microscopes use on a day-to-day basis:

Four parcentered, parfocal achromatic objective lenses (4x, 40x spring, 100x spring oil immersion)

No fuss, just focus. Many competitively priced digital microscope cameras magnify the image through the eyepiece, so the image you see on your monitor doesn’t accurately represent what you see looking down the scope with your own eyes. That’s not good enough for you. We counter that by including a 0.5x reducing lens. This prevents over-magnification and produces real images. You can trust what you see.

Summit K2 series digital microscope cameras already work in applications spanning industries. They can be retrofitted onto most existing optical microscope models, and come standard on Omano digital microscopes.
