• A plain stage with two spring-loaded stage clips to help retain the slides.

• An optional mechanical slide holder is available. We recommend this slide holder as it makes slide handling significantly easier for both younger children and teenagers alike.

• Includes rack and pinion design for durability and coaxial coarse and fine focus controls, allowing a student to constantly keep their eyes on their specimen. This enhances student engagement and creates a sustained interest in the microscope. 

• A rack stop for increased safety. It ensures that the stage does not interfere with the objectives. This prevents potentially expensive slide breakage. 

• A slip clutch control to mitigate the risk of damaging the focus controls through overextension.

Farewell, Weak Illumination!

The OM118-M3 features a 0.65 N.A condenser with an Iris diaphragm for optimal adjustments, and built-in transmitted 20w incandescent illumination that includes variable intensity so students can get the illumination that works best for them.
