What’s So Special About the Stand?

Back to the stand! The Omano JW11 boom stand has been a workhorse and well-proven Omano stand for a decade. Weighing 32 lbs (which is about the same weight as 20 dozen eggs, for your reference), the single arm of the boom stand includes:

An 84mm focus block
A horizontal arm extension of 20" including the microscope head.
A pole height of 17"
An effective useable height of 12"

It all comes down to optics, especially for inspectors who diligently look for product defects and complete failure analysis for hours on end daily. We’ve been building microscopes for more than 25 years, and we built the OM99-JW11 as the most affordable go-to for industrial inspectors like you.

It’s packed with great optical features like:

Dual diopters that are integrated into the eye tubes for individual eye adjustment.
An interpupillary adjustment range of 55mm-75mm.
A working distance of 31/4", and more than doubles to over 6" with the addition of a 0.5x auxiliary Barlow lens.
Optional Barlow lens options like: 0.3x, 0.4x, 0.5x, 0.75x, 1.0x and 2.0x.

Say Goodbye to Weak Focus and Illumination

Flimsy focus controls don’t exist in the OM99-JW11 (or any Omano microscope, for that matter). The OM99-JW11 stereo microscope features rack and pinion focus controls that include dual right and left-hand controls for convenience.

It even comes with an 80 LED ring light for shadow-free illumination with variable intensity.

Swap Out that Hard Eyepiece for Soft Imaging

Although this stereo microscope comes with rubber eyecups, there’s nothing like being able to view and manipulate your images using software technology.

Do you spend hours hunched over the eyepiece of your microscope? Adding a digital microscope camera to your OM99-JW11 stereo microscope reduces that back pain and eye strain by showing you your images on a computer screen instead. That means you actually feel good about sitting back while working.

The trinocular format of the OM99-JW11 comes with a 23mm smooth eyepiece adapter. When the photo-prism lever is engaged in the OM99-trinocular, 100% of the light from the left optical path is directed to the camera port. The image can still be viewed through the right eyepiece.

Both versions are optionally available with click-stop detents for precise zoom observations.

No fuss, just focus. Many competitively priced digital microscope cameras magnify the image through the eyepiece, so the image you see on your monitor doesn’t accurately represent what you see looking down the scope with your own eyes. That’s not good enough for you. We counter that by including a 0.5x reducing lens. This prevents over-magnification and produces real images that don't suffer from the same zoom distortion. You can trust what you see.
